This week in PE, Class 5 have been learning how to work as a team and use critical thinking to determine the best approach.
We thought carefully about how we can be inclusive of all our team members and how important communication is when working in a group.
Week 3

This week in science we have investigated the effects of refraction. We investigated using an arrow held behind water in a jar - we found that when the light hits the water and the curved glass of the jar, the light bends and creates an illusion that the arrow is facing the other way!

This week in computing we have explored the four strands of computational thinking. We tried a variety of unplugged activities that relate to computational thinking:
- Decomposition- breaking a problem down into smaller parts.
- Pattern recognition- identifying patterns and familiar outcomes.
- Abstraction- identifying the important detail and ignoring irrelevant information, i.e. shape, size or colour.
- Algorithm design- taking all of the information you have collected to create a recipe for success.
