In class 4, we work as a team, treat each other with kindness and respect and always aspire to be the best we possibly can.
Important information:
| PE | Our PE days are every Monday and will alternate weekly between Wednesday/Thursday (to allow us some time with out PE specialist). Children are expected to bring a PE kit on a Monday and leave it in school until Friday - that way if anything changes they are always prepared! PE kits should consist of black shorts, white t-shirt and trainers. During the winter they may bring tracksuit bottoms/leggings and a jumper in case we are working outdoors. A PE kit must be a different change of clothes to their uniform. |
| Homework | Homework will be set on a Friday and should be returned on the following Wednesday in most cases this will include a piece of literacy, numeracy and spelling and will be completed online, if online access is an issue please speak to Miss Connell. Any log-ins that children require have been given to them. |
| Reading | It is important that reading is practiced at home as much as possible! Children in Class 4 are expected to read minimum 3 times per week to an adult. I ask that an adult can sign their reading journal so this can be recorded. Children are given a banded book that is suited to their reading ability, as well as a library book that may be a little more tricky to enjoy at home with an adult. |
| Times Table Rockstars | Times Table Rockstars is a brilliant way for children to develop their times table recall. They should use this as regularly as possible to support their learning. |
