Happy Summer Holidays!
Here are some photographs of our final weeks of this academic year. Have a lovely summer holidays Class 1 and see you next year!
This week we have had a very busy week! We have been visited by our children who are starting with us in September. We spent Monday and Tuesday looking after our new friends and getting to know them. We have also been practicing for our Mini Sports Day! Parents will be able to see our sports day photos on Facebook and our website by the end of next week.
In Maths this week we have been exploring grouping. We have been learning our double facts to 10 and exploring equal groups. We have also been practice our Big Maths questions. Our children love our Big Maths challenge and they are all very motivated to beat their score!
Our RWI Online Classroom has gone live this week and the children have been accessing this in the classroom as well. They have loved taking part in their own RWI lessons on the iPads! Don't forget that all the children have lessons to complete at home as well!
This week we have revisited one our favourite stories 'The Gruffalo' and explored story performance with puppets. We talked about how we can use our voices for different characters. We have also been performing our own stories in our Helicopter story performances!
In Science we have been learning about the human body and using our phonics skills and draw around each other and adding labels for body parts.
This week has been our final week of weaving in our Art topic. We have been having a go at paper weaving and weaving with wool. It's tricky and really good for fine motor development.
