***Pupil Premium Funding – Update Statement December 2020.***

Due to the ongoing Global Pandemic it has become increasingly difficult to update and maintain the original Pupil Premium Plan. The key factors affecting this are:

  • The lack of any externally validated results for any Key Stage from 2019/20 academic year.
  • National Lockdown in March 2020.
  • The lack of any internal data for the children in our school from February 2020 to December 2020.
  • A further National Lockdown in January 2021 where places are only open to children of Key Workers and those who are Vulnerable.
  • Cancellation of any further externally validated testing for the current academic year.

The current Government guidance states we should report on the effectiveness of our Pupil Premium spending plan for the period of September to 2019 to March 2020. In the review we will include any key changes that schools had to make due to the pandemic. We feel confident that while we may not have our pupils all in school that our PP children are being well served and continue to be included in Counselling, Education Welfare and any other services they may need. Their allocations have also transferred into the current academic year along with reported staffing levels.

We will report, where possible, on any available data – most recent being December 2020, caution must be given to this however as children has missed nearly 5 months of school and had been back in school for only 3 months.

New Pupil Premium Plans will be made available for the 2021-2022 Academic Year including the review of the previous spending plan in the Summer.
