Week 5

This week we had so much fun in school. We had ‘ ‘Circus Skills Day’ where we enjoyed watching someone showcase a variety of circus skills. We finished the week ( and half term) by celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We had a chance to work with our friends from other classes and participated in different Jubilee themed activities.

Week 4

This week in R.E, we continued to learn about what happened on the day of Pentecost.

In R.E, we looked at examples of Pablo Picasso's abstract portraits and Paul Klee’s water colours paintings and had a go at creating our own portraits using newly learnt skills.

Week 3

This week in our art lesson, we focused on Pablo Picasso’s art work and in particular, how he used colours to show emotions.We drew portraits of either ourselves or each other and used appropriate colours to show different emotions.

Week 2

This week we were reading a book from our ‘Core Stories’ list- Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. We enjoyed making stick puppets, animal masks and writing the story from memory.

This week we had our Bike area officially opened by Sheila Marren,

( Federation Foundation Governor)We were very excited to go on bikes and scooters. We also spent some time coming up with rules of how to stay safe while using the area.
