Week 4
This week for the first time in 3 years we were able to have our school sports day. We had such a fantastic day taking part and showing great sportsmanship throughout. We were really happy to be able to share this with all of our parents who came to cheer us on.
This week we have been lucky to have our first parents afternoon in a few years. the turn out was amazing and we are really happy with how many adults came into class to share our learning. To continue with our art topic and looking at Roy Liechenstein's style we took a look at the most famous pop artist Andy Warhol to create our own Campbells soup painting. Parents created two panels whilst the pupils create the other two. I will leave you to decided which side is which.
Week 3
This week we had a very special day which we have not been lucky enough to have these last few years. It was the return of our EIS day. We had the chance to tryout so many different sports, speed stacking being a big highlight. Some of us were also lucky enough to hold an Olympic bronze medal during our Taekwondo session which was the first ever Taekwondo medal ever won by Britain.
In our Science topic on light we looked at the great Scientist Isaac Newton and his experiment on light and his falling out with other scientist. We recreated this in the best way to honour Newton through a shadow theatre using light.
Week 2
This week we had another surprise day in school. We had a birds of prey visit to our class. We were able to learn about the 4 different birds that were brought to school as well as being able to get a pitcher holding Bobby the Screech Owl. Some of our class were lucky to be able to take part in the demonstrations of Oslo the Harris Hawk showing the tight spaces he could fly through.
Week 1
This week was our first week back after our two week break. We cannot believe after 7 years this is the beginning of our final ever term in St. Helens. We have put together all our photos from our wonderful memories we made before we broke up at PGL below.
