Week 6
This week sees the end of term, I would like to thank all the children for working incredibly hard all year and to the grown ups for supporting us every step of the way. I'm proud of the progress all the children have made this year, and look forward to hearing of all their future achievements. Well done Class 4!
Week 5
This week the children have written character and setting descriptions descriptions for their version of fractured fairy tales. We also completed work in RE about Oscar Romero. We looked at tweets from the pope and then wrote our own tweets to the rest of the school to inspire them to act upon and instill the values of our Christian faith.
Week 4
Continuing with our work on habitats for our Allotment topic, the children have written a narration in the style of David Attenborough. Please watch the videos of the children's narrations, some of which had to be shortened to fit the video. Whilst making the videos, the children also tried to ensure that what was being said, fit the video being playing in the moment. The children then had to edit the videos, split sounds and create an edited version as a Youtube video. Well done Class 4!
Week 3
After a fabulous day on Monday at EIS completing sports activities the children then visited RSPB Old Moor to learn more about live cycles, bugs, birds and habitats. John, the learning guide gave valuable information to the children which they used to find a froglet in the wetland, an adult newt in the dry lands as well as various flying insects such as dragon flies in the woodlands. The children had a brilliant day and thoroughly enjoyed exploring and discovering the different habitats.
Week 2
After a very tough week of assessments class 4 finished today with an afternoon of gardening, as you can see our tomatoes, sweetcorn and currants are coming along nicely, sadly some of our beans and pumpkins died so we will be planting more things next week.
Also a huge thank you and well done to Brooke, Nicola and Nina for organising the school library and KS1 children using it over dinner time, as well as promoting a love for reading for pleasure throughout school. I'm proud of you.
Well done Class 4.
