This week we have been learning the Easter Story in class and we have been getting reading for our special assembly called 'Spy Wednesday'. This afternoon we had an Easter Egg hunt on the field which everyone enjoyed.
This week we have been learning all about capital cities in Europe. We have created a research sheet about London and Paris and found out lots of interesting information. In choosing time we made Easter eggs ready for our Easter egg hunt next week.
This week we have begun reading the Abominables by Eva Ibbotson. The story is set a hundred years ago, in the Himalayan peaks of Nanvi Dar, and it is about the daughter of an English earl who is kidnapped by a huge hairy monster. We have also finished our board games, which I think look fantastic! Next week we will have lots of fun playing them with a partner. We have also be learning new skills in Hockey like how to hold the stick and how to pass and stop the ball.
Welcome back to school everyone, you have all made a great start. This week we have been working hard in Maths learning the expanded multiplication method. In Literacy we have also begun an exciting story book about Yeti’s. As part of our ‘Well being Chooseday’ we have designed and started making board games. Hopefully next week we will finish them and play them in class.
Happy Mother's Day!
