CLASS 1 & 2 SPORT'S DAY
The sun finally came out for KS1 and FS2 sport's day today! Well done to all the children and adults that took part! Everyone had lots of fun! It was lovely to see so many smiling faces!
We will present the children with their certificates later this afternoon in a special celebration.
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating our sport's day! All the children received certificates, stickers and even medals for their performances! The finalists were all presented with bronze, silver and gold awards too. We were so proud of each and every one! We made sure we checked the cameras and sent home bronze, silver and gold certificates for our very brave grown ups who took part too. The children said watching these races were the best bit!
Same time next year....???
Week 5 - w/c 08/07/2024
The children have really enjoyed transition and have impressed their new teachers with their mature attitude to learning! We are really looking forward to teaching you next year!
Week 4 - w/c 1/7/2024
Well, what a start to the week! Class two travelled all the way to Hull, to visit The Deep! It was such a lovely experience for the children, they saw penguins, sharks, manta ray, turtles, jellyfish and the most amazing multicoloured fish we've ever seen! They travelled all around the world with their passports, visiting all the continents, learning about all the animals that live there and how they are suited for their environment. The children all had a fantastic time, singing on the coach, eating their packed lunches with their friends and exploring this magical place! Some of the children said, " This has been the best day of my life", which made us all smile!
We've taken as many photos as we could of our day, apologies if they are quite dark, flash photography was not permitted in the aquarium.
Week 3 - w/c 25/6/2024
Our Year 2 children have been working super hard on their end of year assessments this week! We are very proud of all their hard work!!
Week 2 - w/c 18/6/2024
This week in Maths we have been learning all about 2d and 3d shape. Can you go on a shape hunt around your house? How many different shapes can you find?
Week 1 - w/c 10/6/2024
The children have been learning all about London and how it has changed over time. Did you know the Romans first built London over 2000 years ago and called it Londinium? Since then it has been taken over by lots of different people. Lots of different events have happened over the years which changed London. This afternoon we learnt all about London in the 1600's and how it changed in the 1800's whilst Queen Victoria was in power!
As part of our Literacy lessons we have been learning how to write postcards. Next week we will be writing a postcard from Paddington Bear after his trip to London. To be able to write effectively we needed to research London and what Paddigton might have seen! We used information books and ipads to find out useful information.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
