In-Year Applications

Outside the admission round, a child can apply for a place at any time and will be accepted if a place is available. A Common Transfer Form, used for in-year admissions, should be completed and submitted to the Admissions Team in the Local Authority. Information can be found here.

If more people apply than there are places, the published oversubscription criteria will be applied, as outlined in the admission arrangements for that year. This information can be found in the policies below.

Before submitting an application, parents are encouraged to carefully read the admission arrangements.

If there are no places available, your child will be added to the waiting list. Please see the admission arrangements for more information.

You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing by the Local Authority on behalf of the school as soon as possible. Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but with an aim to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.

You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.
