Week 6 

This week we had fun filled action packed workshop all about science. We learn lots of new and interesting things and even got to help out with some of the experiments.

Week 5

Lots of exciting learning going on in class this week. In science we have been learning how we see things in our topic about light. We have also been looking at reflective surfaces, we tested six different surfaces to see which would reflect light the best. 

Week 4  (WC 26.09.22)

Another super week’s learning from class 3! In Maths we have been ordering and comparing numbers and in literacy we have begun writing our stories about time traveling back to the Stone Age. We have also had another special treat day in the form of a petting zoo. The children were so excited to see a mini farm on the field this afternoon.

Thank you so much to all the parents who came into school to read with their child today, it was really lovely to see the excitement on the children's faces. In class we have begun reading the book 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes, which all the children are enjoying. We have started our science topic about light this week and we have learnt that there are many different light sources but the moon is not one of them. The children have been working hard in Maths and have been  developing their skills in place value knowledge. Well done everyone!

Week 1 (WC 5.9.22)

Well done class 3, what a fantastic start you have all made to the new school term. Your attitude to learning so far has been amazing and the way you have all settled into class has been brilliant. This week we have had lots of discussions about our new topic ‘From the Stone Age to the Iron Age’ and we are looking forward to writing a narrative based on the book ‘Stone Age Boy’ by Satoshi Kitamura. We have also begun taking pictures for our ‘Book Selfie Board’ and in PE we have begun developing our ball skills, as you can see below we also had lots of fun!
