Class 3 with the Advent candle

Week 5

This Week we have our beautiful Advent wreath in class which is filling us all with expectation and hope. “Advent” means “arrival” or “coming,” and we will be thinking and remembering why Jesus came at Christmas. We have also made Christingle candles. Each part of the Christingle candle has a special meaning:

  • The orange represents the world
  • The red tape is for the love and blood of Christ
  • The sweets and dried fruit represent the four seasons
  • The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world

Week 4

We had a  wonderful time at the Butterfly House, everyone behaved impeccably and we got to learn about some incredible animals.

Week 3

This week we have been learning all about Judaism. We have looked at pictures of the outside and the inside of synagogues and we have created our own version of the Torah.
