We've had a great start to our half term in Class 5! Our new class book, Floodland, has been inspiring our writing which has been focused on setting descriptions from the start of the book. In maths, we've been working on using brackets within calculations and investigating how that changes the order in which we must work things out and the impact that has on the answer.
We also started our new Geography topic by re-capping knowledge of continents and oceans. One of the best lessons we had this week was the start to our new DT unit. We designed a playground and drew plan views of it. Next step... making a model of it! Watch this space!
