Week 2
This week, we have continued our Maths learning on Addition and Subtraction. We focused one of our sessions on finding the difference in order to subtract.
Class 2 found this concept tricky so we completed some practical learning.
Our table groups took it in turns to come to the carpet, we compared the amount of boys and girls.
The children created lines, facing each other and we noticed that there were more children in a certain group. We found the difference between the two groups and then used sentences like;
7 is 2 more than 5
The difference between 7 and 5 is 2
Well done Class 2 Mathematicians on your hard work this week!

When back in the classroom, we fed back our observations and shared the different signs of autumn they found.
