The final week of this half term.
Moving monsters using hydraulics was great fun.
Class 4 had a fantastic walk and visit to Elsecar Heritage Centre where we learned about Elsecar's very important role in the Industrial Revolution and saw the Newcomen Beam engine at work!
Beautiful mini-beast art using pastels, water colours or felt tip pens. We looked at the work of artist Lucy Arnold for inspiration.
In design technology the children have been getting to grips with hydraulics and moving objects with air - blown into a balloon and then pushed with some force down a tube using syringes. They even managed to elevate a chair!!
