Thank you to all able to attend our Y6 assembly yesterday. All children should be incredibly proud of their fantastic efforts!
What a journey it has been! We wish all children every success as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their learning journey.
Week 6
This week, children have continued to explore Skellig. Children have worked hard to improve fluency, explore author choice and retrieve key information from the text.
In English, children have identified the key features within an autobiography. Children have studied the differences between a biography and an autobiography before writing their own.
In Maths, children have explored statistics, whether this be in bar models, pie charts or time tables.
In Science, children have studied inherited traits and characteristics from parents.
Well done for yet another fantastic week Class 5. Keep it up!
Week 3
This week, children have explored skills of vocabulary, inference, prediction, explanation, retrieval and summary when reading Skellig. Children have focused on author choice this week when studying chapter 8 further.
In English this week, children have explored the key features of a diary entry, along with studying varying sentence structures.
In Maths, children have worked hard when exploring coordinates.
In Spanish, children have studied landscapes, colours and numbers. Children have explored new vocabulary such as montana (mountain), playa (beach), arena (sand) and rio (river).
Well done Class 5 for all of your hard work this week!
Have a wonderful weekend.
PGL
Year 6 children enjoyed a visit to PGL during half term. Children completed many activities: rock climbing, giant swing, trapeze, paddle boarding, challenge courses and much more.
