Week 7
Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in church
This Thursday, Class 2 visited Sacred Heart and St Helen's Catholic Church to expand our knowledge on Belonging within the Catholic faith and on Baptism.
We experienced being in our church, looked at the lectern where the word of God is proclaimed. We looked at the font where the priest baptises a child and we recognised the pews, altar candle and Bible.
Well done Class 2 on showing respect in our church and knowledge of Baptism.

Week 6
Class 2 on Mental Health Awareness Day - Wear Yellow
Computing: Word Processing
Class 2 have completed some excellent computing work, creating a Poetry Book as a class using sources from the internet and applying their knowledge of keyboard shortcuts.
Well done to everyone on your excellent computing skills.

Week 5
Federation Rockstar Day
This Friday, Class 2 joined our Federation of Corpus Christi to celebrate Times Tables Rock Stars and Numbots relaunch day. There were class and Federation competitions throughout the day, along with Dojos available for all participants.

Week 4
This Friday, Class 2 completed some collective artwork progressing our skills and completing further exploration of line and shape.
We created musical lines using our knowledge of different types of line and taking our pencils for a walk whilst listening to different types of music.

Week 3
This week, Class 2 have completed some excellent topic work including work on the Great Fire of London.
We jotted down all the different sources we can use to find out about the past.
Then we explored a variety of resources including a map from the 1600s and images showing what the houses, transport and surroundings would have looked like.
We made observations including the houses were wooden, streets were narrow, there were carriages and many boats.

Week 2
This Monday, Class 2 completed some excellent learning in PE on Fundamentals.
Here are some photos of when we took part in an activity as frogs, working on our ability to jump from spot to spot, over hurdles and on and off of apparatus.

Week 1
Welcome back Class 2!
This week was the first week of our new academic year and everyone came back ready to learn.
What a brilliant first day we had, getting to know each other in Class 2, working as a team to complete tasks, learning our Federation Rules and completing a fun animal-themed Music lesson.
Class 2 made a Class Web in one of our first group activities.
We held a ball of wool whilst sharing something about ourselves with the class, this may have been something we hoped for or worried about. Then, we passed the ball of wool to someone else in our class whilst holding onto a thread. At the end of our task we had a huge web which helped us realise we're all connected and are never alone in Class 2.
