Week 4
Sculpture and 3D: Clay Houses - Pinch Pots and Skills in Clay
This week, Class 2 have completed some impressive artwork with clay.
We shaped clay and joined to make decorations. We also used impressing and joining techniques to decorate a clay tile.

Week 3
This Friday, in RE we listened to the Pentecost Day story and talked about Pentecost in more detail.
Jesus’ friends knew he would keep his promise and with the help of the Holy Spirit, they shared the happiness of Jesus’ love with everyone.
We created a dance showing the sequence of the events of Pentecost Day. We discussed how the friends of Jesus changed.
We used different coloured ribbons and the Spring section of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons to show the emotions of the disciples when they thought Jesus had left them and then when they were filled with the Holy Spirit and happiness.
Well done on the respect you showed in our Come and See work Class 2 and on your excellent retelling of a story from the Bible.

Week 2
This week, we completed learning on Queen Elizabeth II. We found out how she came to power and we discussed how her life was different than our lives are.
We also completed some excellent E-safety work in computing.

Week 1
This week, we started our Measurement topic in Maths. We measured length in different directions to give height, length and distance. We also described the size of a metre and a centimetre, and chose which unit might be best to measure different lengths.
