Our Class Books
Week 6
Paul Klee - We met our new classmates this week and we all worked together to create a town in the style of the artist Paul Klee. We used oil pastels to draw around 2d shapes to create artwork of a similar style.
Euros 2024 - To celebrate England reaching the final of the 2024 European Football Championships, we enjoyed a non-uniform day and football related activities.
Week 5
Summer Fayre - We had lots of fun organising our Toy Stall at the Summer Fayre. We selected the toys online that we wanted to sell and we talked about pricing and profit. But the best part was taking our parents/carers to our stall at the fayre!
Week 4
Sports Day 2024 - We were all winners today!
Week 3
Maths - This week, we have been using a number line to work out the answers to some addition and subtraction problems.
DT - We have been learning some different methods for joining materials. We used staples, safety pins and glue. We all decided that we really enjoyed using the stapler!
Week 2
Writing - There are lots of opportunities around our classroom to practise our writing skills. We have been writing lots of letters and postcards this week, inspired by learning about explorers.
Maths - We have been using the number line in our outdoor area to add and subtract by counting on and counting back.
Week 1
Investigate! Can you spot the new items in our investigation area this week? Our new magnifying pots will help us to take a closer look at interesting items. We can even look carefully at some of the bugs that we find outside before we release them back into their habitats.
Science - This half-term we will be continuing to learn all about the uses of everyday materials. This week, we have also been trying to spot some signs of the summer season.
