Welcome to Class 2 – Summer 2!

We hope you had a lovely long break and are ready for our final half term in Class 2! Don't forget to check our class page each week as well as Class Dojo to follow all our amazing learning experiences across the curriculum.

Monday- Outdoor PE kit including trainers or pumps. Please ensure your child wears their hair tied back and has no earrings in on Mondays – Thank you  😊

Homework -

Reading books- 3 times per week- Please record this in your child's diary.

TT rockstars and Numbots- Please play this weekly.

Picture News- Will be sent home weekly for you to engage as you wish.

Spellings - Will be sent out every Thursday via Class Dojo and tested on the following Thursday.

Extra dojos will be awarded for completed homework tasks.

This half term our topics will include:

Literacy-   Character and setting descriptions including single clause                           sentences, conjunctions, noun phrases and adjectives.

Maths-     Tallies, charts & tables, money, fractions, time, weight,capacity

Science-   Animals including Humans, materials

RE-          Being sorry & Neighbours

Geography-  Local area history study.

Computing- Online Safety & scratch coding

RHE-          Created to live in the community

              Unit 1- Religious understanding

                     Unit 2- Living in the wider world

PE-             Net and wall games- Sports Day

Music-         Reflect, Rewind, Replay 

DT-             Moving Monsters

This week the children have been finishing their history topic about Queen Elizabeth by creating a family tree. They could identify all members of the Royal family and could place them in the correct position. They could talk about family members and new some facts about each one.

It's been so hot today... we decided to do our spellings in the outdoor classroom where it was nice and breezy!
