Autumn 2, week 1
This week we have enjoyed settling back into school after the half-term holiday. The children have been happily re-establishing routines, reconnecting with friends, and getting back into the rhythm of learning. We have talked about the changes in the season and noticed the cooler weather, exploring how this affects what we wear and what we see outside. Through stories, play, and hands-on activities, the children have been building confidence, sharing their holiday news, and getting ready for all the exciting learning ahead this half term. π

We spent time acknowledging Remembrance Day, sharing age-appropriate discussions about remembering and saying thank you, and creating simple poppy artwork. We also had lots of fun celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week, singing familiar rhymes, joining in with actions, and exploring rhythm and rhyme through play. To finish the week, we supported Children in Need, taking part in fun activities and talking about helping others. It has been a busy and exciting week full of learning, singing, and kindness. ππΆπ»
Autumn 2, week 3
This week the children have been busy exploring shapes, spotting them in the classroom and using them in their play and creative activities. We also took part in PANTS Week, learning important messages about keeping our bodies safe in a gentle, age-appropriate way. Outdoors, we wrapped up warm and enjoyed experiencing the cold and frosty weather, noticing changes such as icy grass and chilly air. These experiences led to lots of great discussions and new vocabulary. Another exciting week of learning both indoors and outside! βοΈπΊπ§€
