Week 6
This Thursday, Class 2 concluded our Monarch themed History topic on Queen Victoria in a very memorable way.
Parents and carers were invited in to help us make our own royal crowns and sceptres.
Thank you to everyone that attended and well done to Class 2 on your creativity and hard work this afternoon!

Week 5
This week, Class 2 explored Instructions to begin our new Literacy unit.
We followed Valentine's Day themed instructions on How to make a Suncatcher; reading the steps carefully, ensuring we had all of the correct equipment and noticing the choice of vocabulary in the instructions.
Well done Class 2 on your hard work and excellent exploration this week!

Week 4
This week, Class 2 have completed lots of new and exciting learning including starting our new virtual Bee-Bot computing unit.
In computing, the children got to know a Bee-Bot as a new virtual device. They tinkered with the buttons of a Bee-Bot to see what they do, we predicted, tested and reviewed our thoughts.
Class 2 had time to explore virtual Bee-Bots navigating them across an alphabet mat to spell their names and around a race track.
Well done Class 2 on your hard work and great attitudes to learning this week!

Week 3
This week, Class 2 have worked very sensibly and well on our D&T Making Smoothies topic.
This week we learnt how to prepare fruit for smoothies by cutting it, peeling and by using a juicer to extract the juice.
Then, the children tasted different fruits followed by a planning and designing task for their own smoothie.
Finally the children created their own smoothies and tasted them.
What a fantastic D&T filled week we have had and what delicious, fruity smoothies Class 2 made. Well done everyone on your hard work!

Week 2
This week, Class 2 have started our new History topic on Queen Victoria.
Everyone worked hard to recall their knowledge on what a monarch is and how they become a king or queen as well as writing questions we have about our new topic.
Class 2's Questions
Who were Queen Victoria’s parents?
Where did she live?
Was she married?
Was there a king?
Did she have children?
Was she a good ruler?
Did she have a job?

Week 1
This Wednesday, Class 2 were lucky enough to be involved in a Dogs Trust workshop in which the children learnt how to interact safely with dogs. They also learnt makaton signs and completed a quiz on their leaning.
