This week we looked at 3-d shapes.

In Maths this week, we looked at subtraction. We used manipulatives to help us complete subtraction calculations. 

In English, we started a new unit (Setting Description). We started exploring vocabulary related to setting descriptions and developed our sentence writing skills.

In computing we were using a virtual Bee-Bot to create a demonstration video.

In Science, we looked at Woodland habitats.

Week 3

This week, we in English, it was our ‘Big Write’. We wrote persuasive letters to Mrs Tordoff, pretending to be unhappy pieces of school equipment and asking for things to change.

In Art, we were experimenting with a craft technique to develop an idea. We made an abstract composition. simplified a drawn idea, looking for big shapes and important lines. And we learnt to cut, layer and arrange the shapes.

In Science we were looking at Microhabitats.

This week, in R.E, we looked at the story of Simeon &Anna (The Presentation story).

In Maths we continued to explore Place Value and we were looking at 2-digit numbers to 50.

In Science we were looking at whether we could name habitats in our local area.

This week, in English, we started a new unit (Persuasive Writing) based on a book called, ‘The Day the Crayons Quit. We used a WAGOLL to develop our Writing Rubric.

In P.E, we were doing gymnastics where we explored different travelling movements.
